Looking for a new handbag isn’t something I do very often but when I do I usually become obsessed pretty quickly. This time, I’m coveting this linen Proenza Schouler PS1 (medium). If this bag ever touches my hands I’ll never let it go…
To me there is nothing better then a vacation at the Jersey Shore. I would absolutely consider myself a Jersey girl (minus the tan, the poof, and the Italian but including the accent) and I couldn’t be more proud. I don’t know what the draw to the shore is, but every summer I find myself wishing for the beach every weekend. On Saturday I’m leaving to spend a week on beautiful Long Beach Island. You can find me at the beach all day, everyday…. ideally wearing one of the following outfits.
Now that we finally have a totally sunny day here in NY, I’m inspired to blog about sunny day weddings (since I did the same for the rain here). Here are some of my favorite wedding day photos of the bride, filled with tons of sunshine. Plus, the first two images are of two of my favorite people, so how could I not?!
Happy Saturday everyone! The day has finally come (the day I talked about here, that is). I’ve decided to share a little bit of a “getting ready” story here with you. The reason for this is definitely because of my recent download of the Instagram app which I’m completely obsessed with. It makes it much easier to share pics with everyone via my fancy little iPhone. Here is my before, please hold in all comments or I will NEVER do this again…
Hot Tools 1″ curling iron, Moroccan Oil hairspray, Makeup Forever HD foundation, Yves Saint Laurent touche eclat, Mallie blush in Springtime, Nars bronzer in Laguna, Mac eyeshadow in various shades, Mac liquid eyeliner, Mallie volumizing mascara, Mac number 7 lashes, and Mac lipstick in Impassioned
Today I spent my work day merchandising a store in the British Airways terminal of a nearby airport. Upon leaving, there was a flight departing to London Heathrow with available seats. It took all the strength I have to not just shell out a credit card and hope on… I could sleep under Big Ben, right? Anyway, this all stemmed from a (very) early morning web surfing session where I found the below picture. I could DIE.
Although most brides will make every attempt to ward off rain on their wedding day, some still say that it’s good luck. I don’t know if I believe in the good luck part of it, but I do know that I love rainy wedding day pictures. Not only does an overcast sky mean better color in photos but everyone seems to have an arsenal of umbrellas ready for an adorable photo-op.
I’m still bitter about the fact that we don’t get that three month summer vacation anymore, but it does make you appreciate the vacation time you do have. I’ll be headed to Long Beach Island for a week on July 2nd. It might as well be a two week vacation to Fiji because I’m certaintly treating it like one! I can’t wait to spend time with my family in the cutest beach house on the planet just relaxing and reading lots and lots of books on the beach. I’ve already started packing because I can’t stand that I have to wait two weeks to leave. I’m really excited about a few new items that have entered my closet/makeup bag in recent weeks that will be perfect for my trip:
These Jessica Simpson “Danniy” Sandals
This Mac Lipstick in “Creme D’Nude”
I’ve had a lot of style inspiration recently that has helped me pick a week of very cute outfits (if I do say so myself). I would have to attribute a lot of this to Pinterest. I absolutely love, love, love this site for style inspiration whether it’s your day to day wardrobe, your wedding style, or the style of your home. I’ve gotten so many fantastic ideas from this site, here are a few that I’d like to share with you of outfits that I am dying to adapt into my wardrobe.
Oh, and follow me on Pinterest for some more fabulous fashion!
Lately I’ve been having a really hard time picking out what to wear in the morning. Not because of my lack of clothing but because of the temperature. My office is hovering between 40 and 45 degrees (seriously) while outside is between 80 and 85. It’s impossible to dress for a beautiful summer day when I would be comfortable in a down coat in the office. After many failed attempts at wearing something to work that is acceptable outside, I’ve decided that it’s all about layering. I can wear something “summer-y” for my walk to and from work and then add layers once I’m inside.
